ABOUT
Henry completed an accelerated Master of Arts in Communication at Western Michigan University, where he studied human-machine communication. While there, he received an All-University Graduate Research and Creative Scholar Award. Henry is the inaugural student rep for ICA’s human-machine communication interest group. He is also the Vice-Chair for the Central States Communication Association Technology Division
Currently, Henry is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication at Michigan State University with a specialization in cognitive science. His research interests include how media narratives can eradicate negative stereotypes and improve interpersonal interactions with outgroup members. He is also interested in human-machine communication and how bots can serve as emotional support providers.
